Our next Friday Filk is this week, on the 24th. The theme will be Chaos, so come ready to sing! The bringing of munchies for everyone would be much appreciated, to take some pressure off the host. :)
To all who are participating in the CD for OVFF, remember we're doing practice again this Saturday at 10 am. This will be our LAST practice before recording, so please also practice on your own time! We'll have made a practice CD for you to listen to and sing along with soon (hopefully tonight). Remember, we're hoping to record on the 2nd and 3rd of October, so practice while you can!
Everyone who's practicing to be on the CD: check DropBox. Mp3s of ten of the songs, in "rough and dirty" form, are there for you to practice with. The ones where you just need the accompaniment, we didn't record any singing. "Threads" has the oohs. Note the three-count pause after the bridge in "I Hate Vampires Who Sparkle." Two more of the songs ("Do Not Meddle in the Affairs of Dragons" and "Stories in the Dark") will be completed tomorrow and added.
ReplyDelete"Stories in the Dark" and "Do Not Meddle" are now available in DropBox. There are two version of "Stories," one with just the oohs over the verses where we'll "ooh" behind Joe singing, and one with both the oohs and the harmony for the choruses. Also, if you think sheet music will help, I've put a gif of the sheet music for the oohs in the folder as well.
